I have a Samsung E715 that I am trying to use in South America. They use the 900/1900 frequencies here, and I have a GSM motorola that works here just great. I bought this phone back in the States and it is supossedly unlocked, but every time I insert the sim and turn the phone on I am getting a "SIM CRASH" error message after I enter in the SIM pin.
There are two major carriers here that support the GSM phones, and I have tried both and get the same sim crash message regardless of the chip.
Any Ideas??? Could I be getting this becasue the phone is not unlocked? I have followed the unlocking suggestions here on the board, and they seem to work, but once the phone re-boots and I enter the sim code I always recieve this message so the phone is useless.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!
