I have an IrDA connection between my computer and my E700. I can establish a link between the computer and the telephone and shift images and ringtones between them. I can see all contacts, sms and so on in the phone...
But how do I get the contacts in my computer to save them as a back up?? The problem is that I can't click on Copy or Cut in the menu, these options are not active. It says in the helpfile that you need to be in ONLINE mode to get these options to go active, but it doesn't say anywhere how you get online and where you can see if you are.
In the status bar it looks like this....
I tried different speeds, it didn't help. I run on windows XP home edition.
Help please.

youre already Online, but the EasyStudio software supports multiple phones, so perhaps this feature is not supported for the E700
you can back up your phone book using the Import/Export function in the tools menu.
It supposedly lets you exports to csv, but i cant get this too work, maybe youll have more luck?
As an alternative, i have been able to copy to the Windows Address Book using the Import/Export feature, so have just been using this to back up my contacts.
Hope this helps

Thanks df*. Your remark about not supporting the E700 made me think about updating Easystudio. After the update it worked!
The problem was that the original version I downloaded from Samsung didn't run at all so I found another version on samsung.co.uk. That apparently was an older version. After the update.. no problem.
