i've made a vocal mmf file that's about 180kb...
my e715 won't recieve it...it should be the memory restriction causing this, right?

Maybe your phone currently doesn't have enough free mem.
Check out memory status. Goto Fun -> Memory Status -> Sounds & Images.
You'll be able to see its mem. icon_smile.gif

Not sure for the E715, but for the E700 its a 32kb limit, and i guess its probably similar, given that its roughly the same phone.

Try making ringtones which are smaller than that and see which ones it accepts - the smallest one you can get it to take will be the limit, ie try 128kb, 64kb, 32kb etc.

Hope this helps

damn it, then there's no point to be making vocal ring tones...cuz 200kb is only like 20sec...40 kb is probably 4secs only...

uhh, no, you are all wrong, the file limit is 50k, and its about a 10 second mmf if you compress it right, if you compress it anymore than youll get more time, but crappy quality. I have about 15 50k mmf files on my e715 and they r about 9-11 seconds a piece. Needless to say, my phone rocks!!
