I have a few questions regarding the software upgrade for V200. When I press *#9999#, it shows F : V20XXWA2 and V20DXDA1
My questions are, if I upgrade my phone at the Samsung service center, will the interface of the phone be different? I have heard that the latest upgrades will change the interface to the same one as the E700. (Different menu styles and backgrounds).
Secondly, will the method of SMS input be changed as well?

Pls backup your fw and post it here or in some free space or wherever...if you dont know how to backup the fw you ll find complete guide on the forum...

I would very gladly perform the backup, but I do not have a data cable. It did not with the handset package over here.

hi all, samsung newbie here.
mine's also the same as exco's. (bought in singapore, language - malaysian, indonesian, english)
I've backed it up and the file size is about 49 MB.. is that the right size?
Some issues with the phone (current fw)
-Camera : if you take a photo and then exit, the next time you try to take a photo the screen hangs on "please wait". The first few times I tried waiting but after 15 minutes I gave up. The only solution to this is resetting the phone on and off. Sometimes it hangs and you can't even switch the phone off and the only way is to take the battery out.
- a few minor stuffs (not as major as the camera). the write new msg is baffling to me
If anyone has any ftp site, i could upload the .sre file (if anyone's still interested..)
i have a few q's in rgds to the fw.
How do one knows which fw is the latest? Also which fw is considered the best (contains english lang, camera working smoothly)
And after a fw upgrade, will there be any changes to the phone IMEI etc? (I've read about IMEI problems after a fw upgrade)

Hi the size s right..you should compress it with winzip or winrar and post it here...pls can you do it for us?
Surely the moderators can help you to post it
I'm using the fw v20xxwh2 it contains the english but the camra its not so good 
Anyway pls try to compress it and post it...you can send it compressed to my email too if you prefer

The camera is an hardware problem not an software one.. so If you could make a new camera to the phone, then the quality will be better
