Not only videos. See, most of my friends have S60 fones so when they MMS me quite a few of the stuff is in the realOne format so it is really irritating me now. And as i dont have the cash for the 6600 i was hoping for I'm looking for other alternatives.

The normal videorecorder of the 6600 records the videos as .3gp-files which also can be played with the 7600. Even my 6220 can play them.
Your friends might use some other recording software (like ETI Camcorder) which I'm not familiar with.

I know that my 7600 can play .3gp files but my friends send me mssgs in the RealOne format. It has the file extension .rm Only the phones having real player can play that sort of file.

Afaik there is no software that directly records in the real media format.
And I've just tested it... you can't send .rm-files via MMS!

you cant send .rm files via mms however small they are..rm and .ra files can be played only on RealOne player .There is no way you can get a real player on a series 40 fone.
