I have just got an E700 and want to be able to back up my numbers and messages and transfer my pics to my PC. I have a samsung COM cable, model number PCB093LBE. I downloaded the EasyStudio PIMS and File Manager from the Samsung website, but when I try to load it up I get a message saying: "unable to initialise DAO/Jet db engine". I'm not sure what this means and if there is any way around it, or an alternative place to download the program from.
When I start to load the program the phone starts chraging, which I'm guessing is a positive thing! I run windows XP Home if that helps.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Aenima: you need to re-download EasyStudio PIMS from uk.samsungmobile.com and reinstall - this should correct the Jet problem.
Also, you dont appear to have the right cable ..... PCB133LBE is the correct model for the E700.
hope this helps

Thanks, having downloaded the program again I no longer get the error message. However, when starting the program it now has "offline" at the bottom of the window and although my phone starts charging, thats all it does. Is this because I have the incorrect cable then? If so, where can I buy the PCB133LBE cable from? I'm a student and on a tight budget......

yeah, im also a student so i know how you feel, but after buying a cheapo cable off ebay and everything going wrong, i had to shell out for the proper cable. Its £25 but is well worth it (IMHO). Everything works without a hitch.
you can get it from mobilefun.co.uk
The link is http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/2776.htm
hope this helps
