HI

I've just purchased a w-linx bluetooth dongle and have tried connecting my phone to my pc to access pc-suite....

I seem to have paired the devices (pin codes accepted etc) and the pc appears in the paired devices list on my phone.

Still no connection visible when looking the mRouter icon and PC Suite will not load until phone is connected.

When I right click on my bluetooth icon I get an option quick connect/bluetooth serial port/James phone.... initiating this causes an error box stating

Error creating 'Bluetooth Serial Port' connection with device 'James phone'

then another saying

Error creating 'Bluetooth Serial Port' connection with device ".

Have I configured this incorrectly? (I'm not sure I've established a Com port - does this need to be specific?) after right clicking MRouter/change devices i get nothing in either known or unknown devices and properties lists all the COm ports (cable com1, bluetooth com5-19, infrared none)

I'm completely new to bluetooth.... help! icon_sad.gif

Go to the properties and check the Com port on which the bluetooth-dongle has established a connection (in my case it's Com 4 - differs in every system)

All Com ports reading 'not connected'.... theres quite a few of them now - i'm guessing the keep adding new ones each time I try and run the wizard.

Should I uninstall and start again perhaps?

Check the proberties of the serial connection for its COM-port.
Select that COM-port in the properties (it's need to have a checkmark).

using Bluetooth connection wizard...

serial port connection made (the only option it gives is Com0)

it doesn't appear in mRouter list though

In Bluetooth configuration...
service name Bluetooth Serial Port is present, start-up says auto, secure connection is required/ com port - blank ???

I've got to excuse, I pointed at the wrong direction. It was ages ago that I've installed PC Suite, I did it just right now again.

For serial connections there are 2 ports: local and client.

The local one is important for the MRouter.

But the client one shouldn't be 0. I've got some problems with my bluetooth too, it always trys to connect to the phone via com port 0, but it gives me an error, but after the error it directly connects correctly, I don't know why.

Does the bluetooth-icon change from Blue/White to Blue/Green?

when I try to connect from 'paired devices' list on n-gage it says:

Hands-Free profile not supported by SPCT-21234 (pc name)

The bluetooth icon turns blue/green for a few seconds then back to blue/white.

Afaik that's "normal" - my 6600 does the same.

You've got to establish the connection from the computer.
