What is wrong having a cheap phone?
Some people, just want to use a mobile to do one simple thing "Make Calls"
Why spend so much on a new one, unless you care?
Most people just make calls/send messages and a 3310/3315 does this job perfectly.
I hope for a JAVA emulator one day!

my mom is contented with her 3330, and my dad with his 6210. They don't need any of those colored phones....... unlike me. icon_cool.gif

I never said that icon_biggrin.gif

What I mean, is that soon they will all be gone, maybe at christmas-time (like every year icon_twisted.gif )

But there are many other low budget phones with the old display. 3310/3330 are rare in germany afaik, didn't found many providers with it. Only some second party provider (not the great mainstream one (T-Mobil, Vodafon, E+, O2) , the one like hutchison, debitel, cellway, mobilcom (all in germany))

3510i is most offered as low budget, than 3410, than 5210 and now comes the 2100.
3510i is the only low budget phone with color display (and low resolution)

and the 3510i is also the cheapest phone that offers GPRS.

another low resolution colored phone is the N8910i, it would have been a great phone, the first on my pick list if it wasn't for its:

- low resolution
- series 30 os
- no pop-port icon_surprised.gif icon_twisted.gif

3310 or any no color screen hp can upgrade to the color screen phone? No, sorry you can't, but you can upgrade to a 3315 (software wise) icon_smile.gif
it need to upgrade some hardware ? You'l not need to upgrade, coz you'l have to change the whole phone. icon_cool.gif
if not the 3310 can handle or support java program? No it can't, it was released even before research on JAVA on phones was even thought off.

@Jameslast, NOW I see why we keep disagreeing! In AUSTRALIA, where I live Nokia 3310/3315/5110 would still we the phone most people have. Since you live in GERMANY, Maby Nokia released diffrent over their icon_wink.gif

Anyway, I'll play around with some programs I have found, (when I get my USB pop-port cable), I reckon all of my nokia messages can be formatted to the new hi-res screen! (Which has more space:))
