I've downloaded Optiflash and firmware version E71AEWL2.

The steps ive taken: taken out sim, and battery for 5 sec, then put battery back in and open optiflash and insert datacable.

The screen is now white. If i click Backup or if i select a FW version, it says "Sorry, an error has occured! (ERR_WRONG_LOADERFILE)"

What can i do? please help. thanks a lot!

Maybe you can try to select the right model.

try [Options] - [Settings]
then Select Your Phone Model
choose your phone model.

i got that kind of error too, but when i pick the right model, it pass the error, but come up with a new one

ERR_LEGACY_LOADED

no idea what this is.

oh i c.

i've just backup my V200's firmware.
it does work with Optiflash 3.6.0.6 .... BUT ....
i don't know what's wrong, but when the backup progress is 100% suddenly my laptop / my winXP Os seems to crash. I got panicked, and i just restart the computer.

when i got back to the Windows, i saw my Save.sre ( 49MB - backup file ) is still there, but when i tried to Verify, it says my sre file is invalid one.

i don't know what is wrong here. really ..
need help from the pro's.

oh, can i have link to download Optiflash 3.6.0.4
I want to try the differences between 3.6.0.6 and 3.6.0.4.

THANkS!

Change the Save.sre into YourFirmware.sre or whatever you want and do a backup. If it still doesn't work there something wrong with your OS. It (3.6.0.6) works fine on Windows 2000/ XP/ XP SP1/ XP SP2/ 2003/ Longhorn 4029, 4051, 4053 and 4074

Yes ... i can already make a backup for V200. and already verfies it.
it goes very smoothly. hahaha.. i'm so happy.

oh, i use Optiflash 3.6.0.4.

now it's time for modding, but i'm rather scared to do this stuff.
if i have done something wrong, i just need to Flash back my old firmware right ?

mett, what do you think ?
should i take another step ? icon_confused.gif

From what i noe bout FWs, during the process u cannot screw up.
I was installing a FW for my cd drive a while bk and my internet connection broke (it was dling and installing simultaneously). My drive died. Useless.
So long as you dont screw up DURING the flashing process, yes ur fine. For making mods of ur own, just flash bk when u f up.
