Well...i am having this problem in my phone.help will be appreciated pls..
When i connect the phone to the PC via IR...using the PC suite...In the connection manager it shows...phone found Nokia 6230....but when i try to use any other application to install java progs or games...i get the error..phone is not connected...How the hell is that
Secondly...
In the MMC that came along with the phone..there were some video clips...I deleted most of them...but was aunable 2 delete 1....when i tried to delete it it said...cant delete file is read only....Any way i can delete the file except than formatting the MMC..??

If you really DONT want to format your memory card.
Go to the Nokia Phone Browser -> Nokia 6230 -> Gallery -> Memory Card
... and simply delete the file off there.
I don't see why u are having the problem though. Also, try switiching off your phone and then back on and try deleting again.
As for the software problem, i have no idea, sorry!

Try re-inserting the MMC... might help (when I use my MMC Reader sometimes the files are protected, so I just hav to re-insert the card and they are no longer protected (I think it's a reading error))

Not sure of deleting the file.
But, for installing games, make sure they are .jar (java) and install them using the Nokia Application manager.
