[It is setup to connect to GPRS (or whatever it does) when turned on btw...so the 'G' should be there...]

I don't know what to do now...
The 'G' just won't show...strange thing is, for a while yesterday I obviously didn't get it (as you know from my posts)...then it just arrived (after playing around with settings, emailing o2...)...now it's just gone again.

Odd...
I turned my phone on...just took a look, what do I see...'G'. Attempt to connect to O2 Active, and no troubles. Connected.

The G doesn't have to be shown all the time.
The G is only shown all the time when you set GPRS to "when possible" (or something like that), when you set it to "when needed" the G only appears when the phone tries to connect.

It is actually set to display all the time...(or whenever there's a connection available)...hence it connecting when the 'G' came back (when it wouldn't before).
Now though, the 'G' remains, but I'm getting error messages again...this is really frustrating. Is it lying to me or something? 'Cause when I try and use it, I'm told in actual fact it isn't available...
So...the 'G' on display indicates the service is available...but when I try to connect, more often that not, no box appears around the 'G' --> it doesn't establish a connection.
I never change my settings...so is it possible that it's a problem O2 have? Just a while back, I managed to get 'online', but O2 Active's homepage wasn't showing...so?

I had a similar problem, in my case there was something wrong with the settings for wap...
But I don't remember how exactly I solved it... I know there was a problem with the settings due to WAP 2.0 has different one than WAP 1.2.1 (or what number it has).

An idea:
I would delete every settings I've already made & changed.
Than let Nokia resend you the settings (they should do it - sometimes it doesn't work - had that problem sometimes) - yes, I know - they are for contracts.
After receiving them, I would edit them and change the two settings that differ contract from "pay as you go".
Hint: Maybe it isn't possible to edit those settings (it's so on my 6220) - in that case I would write the settings down and make a new, own settings...

Nope.
What problem did you have? The same or...?
As I can sometimes connect, it's hard to understand...If I have the wrong settings, why does it sometimes connect? It was completely fine yesterday...
Any ideas? Links I follow? Anything?
I emailed O2, and I'll see if they reply...if not, then I may have to phone them.

Oh, and how do I delete the settings I got Nokia to send me? Doesn't look like I can...
