Has anyone ever experienced a dead pixel in one of their colored nokia phones? if so, how do you prevent internal screen damage of any kind?
Do you think long use of high contrast wallpapers (such as those available for download in this web site) can affect screen display in the long run?

I've actively searched for it by switching background colors. That's something I should not have done. Now i know there is one tiny little dead pixel out there and it's bothering me. Even tho I don't realize it if I don't look for it.
Oh well.
Regarding your question... I don't really have any clue. (You proly got that by now.) Sorry

Hi,
under certain circumstances some shadows may appear and you won't be able to get rid of them again...
But not using high contrast backgrounds won't really change something about that... It doesn't happen to all displays... It's like the dead pixels. It's not covered by your guarantee.
The displays light needs to be on for quite a long timeto make it happen and the displays temperature has to change often between cold and warm...
Eventually the display will have shadows at places where the display isn't white. They can appear even below the text that showes the current time since it's black...
However like I said before: It doesn't happen often and it's quite unusual... Still it's not covered by your guarantee so if it happens you'll have to live with it...

In a nut shell:
LCD screens are made up of tiny transitors that are able to change colours. A dead pixel occurs when a transistor malfunctions. This has the effect of a tiny black dot on the screen. Alernatively it could be a brightly lit or odd coloured dot instead.
