I just purchased a data cable for my Samsung E715 phone. I installed EasyGPRS v2.1.8. I pluged my phone in but nothing happens. Meaning, the phone info doesn't pop up. There is no connection. On the status lin it says off line. Can someone help me out?

if you have a usb data cable, then it should come with a cd to install a driver. that driver will reconfigure your usb port to a COM4 port.
so after you install the driver from the CD, connect everything up, then start easy gprs.
under the file menu, select setup, then change your port to COM4. Then hit reload and try again. then it should work.

I got it. But I had to use com7. anywayz does easygprs provide a way to back up the phonebook to the pc? And if yes is there a way to sync them?
