I would like to knoe how to send pics from my E 700 to my PC by IrDA since I cannot find any options on my mobile to enable this function

i alsohad this problem, you have to download easystudio: PIMS and file manager, then go to file, setup and select IrDA, then yer it loads.. u can get software from samsung site
i dont know hwo to upload though, i dont think u can upload via infrared

You can activate irda on your phone by going to phone settings(5) and selecting option 8,select yes and place the phone next to your irda port.

You need a data cable to upload/download the pictures.
With the Irda, you can only manage the SMS and the phone number.

with irda u can do the same stuff that u do with data cable just u cant change firmware.
I use IrDA and i download/upload images/ringtones

with my e710 I can't download the pictures with the IrDA.
Samsung said me that they can be downloaded only with the cable.
what software do you use?

i'm using easystudio, downloaded from the samsung website. and connecting via an irda connection. however, the options to uploads images and melodies are not selectable, i.e. they are "greyed". does anyone know why this could be? would really appreciate the help

just wanted to add that when i double-click on the irda icon, it brings up a dialog box to transfer files. i have tried that way but an error comes up saying that the data is invalid (i downloaded a ringtone from the sfc site,so it is in .mmf)
