Is anyone aware if Cingular has any plans to begin offering service for zip code 76909?
If so, any timeline on when the roll out might be?
I ask because right now everyone around here with Cingular is roaming and I keep hearing confliciting reports.

Thanks elmo, I know that they do not offer service here right now. What I was asking was if you, or anyone else, is aware of any plans for them to offer service here in the near future.

I was shocked after calling Cingular Prepaid Go Phone customer service
that they deny service to the entire interstate 88 corridor in New York State.

Situation: Unlocked Razr. With Cingular SIM Card - reception in my area = NO to 1 bar at best. Putting in T-Mobile SIM Card: 5 bars all the time. I live in a hilly area about 1 mile from an ATTWS tower. Cingular Razr phone does not allow searching for available networks.
How can I pass this info onto Cingular so they can correct coverage in my area?

Actually, the biggest reason Cingular is getting the iPhone is because the GSM platform is the only (currently) compatible network for it. Wait a year or two, and the iPhone will be re-worked to operate on other carrier's networks - think 'RAZR'. Of course, like the RAZR, by the time other carriers can offer it, 6 new and better phones will already be availiable to Cingular customers. well, I guess T-Mobile subs can always take comfort in knowing that in 3 or 4 years, they can get the brand-new iPhone Pink, right?
Honestly, the Razr was a little outdated when it came out, for a phone that was 300 off the bat it wasn't really bleeding edge other phones were using edge, and higher camera quality for less price, then expandable memory. It did have one thing going for it, style, and as we all know Americans love to be the center of attention.

Yeah, thinking back, I still shake my head at the people who took brand new 2 year contracts, and paid $599 for a shiny, skinny phone. (this was wayyy back, January '04, I think.) One guy bout two! Would've been sweet to be on commission around then.
