Try uninstalling the program, then follow this guide to removing the drivers http://www.ic.sunysb.edu/Stu/cdigiamo/tutorial/v220/rev.html
Then install it again

Ok my v3's internal screen has gone blank and will not come on but the rest of the phone works. like the buttons light up and the external screen works. The thing is i have important messages on it and i cant read them. So i was wondering with this program if there was some way i could retrieve them from the phone. Or if i cant with this program could u tell me 1 that can.

MPT (www.bvrp.com) or mobiledit (www.mobiledit.com) are probably your best bets though there are several other programs
Chances are the problem is just a loose flex cable

Just a heads up but phonetools will not work in vista unless you connect via bluetooth. There isn't a driver for the usb yet so it will never connect.

Live update MPT to the latest version, then do a manual setup and use the E398 as the modem, been working fine for me

Just hit the menu button in MPT then general setup, go to communication then change modem hit next twice, then check the box hit next, then double click Motorola GSM, then find the E398

Hoping someone out here can help me out. I've got MPT v 4.5.1 installed it, picked up the phone, etc. I can do everything EXCEPT multimedia studio. I've been reading everything I can find on this and noticed something, in the screen (the mpt phone) it shows that my service provider is Verizon.which in fact it is not! How does one go about fixing this?PLEASE someone help me!
