Ok well I have a razr v3 and I have the mobile phone tools. I want to put mp3 on my phone to use as a ring tone, but every time I say transfer, it comes up with

Unsupported format - no conversion possible. How do I fix this because I really want this to work.

ATK, Google the exact error message and it will bring up a page in the Avanquest ( the co. who makes moto software) Forum. It has your answer for your problem.

What you have to do is edit the registry.

Also you may have to add Avanquest to your search to get the right page.

Hi I am having a problem with MPT and keep recieving error messages. When I try to save a ringtone it says "Failed to create file" and when I try to transfer songs to my phone it says "Unsupported format (mp3 codec may be inappropriate or missing)". Not sure if its my phone or if its the program. Please help! Thanks

Live update MPT to the latest version, then do a manual setup and use the E398 as the modem, been working fine for me

I also have a Tmobile Rizr Z3. I have MPT v 4.5.6. I have been able to transfer my pics, videos and voice records over via My Computer.

When I try to use MPT, however, I have the worst problems.

1. It tells me it cannot ID my phone, do I want to select it myself. I select it myself. I have tried the E398 AND Z3. The Z3 shows up on my pc as a Rizr.

2. When MPT opens up, it hangs at initializing.

3. While hung at initializing, a popup says that I need to use an Operator Assistant (Bandwidth Ass't is there, but grayed out). If I click to use the Oper Asst, it tells me that this will help only if I'm roaming. I'm not roaming. If I click Cancel (my only other available choice) it simply reopens again in a few moments. I can click Cancel and immediately click a menu function on the phone and open it up - but only if I'm faster the the Oper Asst popup.

4. Once inside the menu function (Sync, MMS, etc), I am unable to view anything on the phone. It reads my pc, of course, but not the phone. It will not sync, of course.

Here are my thoughts, after half a night's sleep.

If I were to take my SIM card out of THIS phone (working under the assumption that there is something wrong with the PHONE), and put that SIM into an identical phone, might that work to sync my phone book?

I'm porting my number over to AT&T tomorrow to get an iPhone. Will an AT&T store be able to grab the phone book of my RIZR and put them on my iPhone for me?

THANKS!

This summer iphone is going to be licensed for use across ALL service providers. so dont go to att, they suck, and the customer service is the worst out of ALL service providers.

on a related note:
I have Tm Rizr Z3 and i cannot see any locked content on my phone using PST, MPT, or any other phone tool. so how can i delete that crap off my phone if i cant see it?
all other functions work fine.
