Hi guys,
I had recently purchase a second hand phone (Samsung E700), because I can't afford a brand new ones. After 2 days of using the phone, I realise that i cannot call out or recieve calls but i can access the phone menu or take pictures, and I wasnt able to contact the previous owner of the phone. From my phone knowledge i believe that the my E700 has been blocked. Can you guys please tell me if theres way of unblocking the phone. I'm really desperate, I can't afford to bring it to the shop cos I dun have much money. Please Help
Thank you

To Don,
From what i believe, the phone was still on a contract while he sold the phone to me, 2 days laters i believe that he reported that his phone was stolen or lost so he can get the insurance for another phone. I wasn't able to call him because the number has been disconnected. what should i do?

Also try to put the phone serial number IMEI or what ever they call it here, it may help coz if some one has lost a phone with such a number you will know it was stolen!! Just a try i guess..

No need, the guy who sold the phone to BisKit is an asshole, he sold the phone and then report stolen / lost to claim insurance. Now the phone is IMEI blocked. To resume it, Biskit has to proof that the bad guy has already sold the phone to Biskit and Biskit is now the legal owner of the phone.
Moreover, it is not wise to post IMEI on the internet as other bad guy may steal it.

I think there is nothing wrong in putting the IMEI number here? am I wrong?? May be the guy did never own the phone it may be stolen after all??

I don't want to mention it, other guy can reuse the IMEI in another phone. This IMEI blocking thing is not worldwide yet.

I thought the IMEI was unique to a phone and manufacturer and canot be used any where else?? but yes I am aware that it is not world wide but how could he use the number on another phone??
