my screen has suddenly been too bright lately. i see streaks of lines across due to the high brightness or contrast...

I've tried adjusting the lcd contrast w/ *#0523# but it has done nothing.

Anyone know a fix for this. its quite annoying

happened to me too.
one day i inserted my friend's discarded sim car to help him retrives his phonebook, then when i put my sim card back in the screen contrast of my e715 became so bright that i can barely see...
tried the lcd code, doesnt change a thing.
tried to flash to other firmwares, same result....

can someone please confirm what the cause might be?

Hmm. the same thing happened to my E700. After changing SIM cards, the screen became twice as brigt. Should I bring my phone to service center?

I believe in the settings menu there is a setting called Display and under display there is a setting called contrast. I am not sure if this setting is there in the e7xx series but it is in my x100. Try to reduce the contrast from there.

If you bought the phone within 28 days I believe T-mobile lets you exchange the phone. But I am not sure.

Hope this helps

Same thing is happening to me after I leave the phone off for a while. The first time it went away on its own. Now this time its stuck this way. My phone's older. *#0523# doesn't do anything and on the e715 that is the only place to adjust the contrast.
