hey DON ..
im new to the world of samsung ..
i have bought C100
and i use infra of my laptop to connect to the phone ..
what does the Firmwares do ?
and what would u suggest me doing to my phone to make it better ? (flashes and stuff)

Firmware is the software your phone runs on. If i where you i wouldn't flash my C100 if there's nothing wrong with that phone but if you still want to flash download one of the latest.

i have a samsung x100 and am wondering what are the new features or improvements that i can get by flashing my phone with new firmware can i get the following :
1. voice dialling
2. speakerphone
3. remove the 32kb limit of ringtones
4. picture phonebook
5. remove the drm forward lock
6. new msg tones
7. download alarmtonese
8. select downloaded tones and assign for different induviduals
9. nokia style menus
if any f these r posssible could you kindly state which ones and what i would need (firmware version, cable etc.) will samsung do this for me ? does my warranty get void for doing this ? is this dangerous (can i permanently ruin my phone ?)
any help would be appreciated.

Hey Don,
I downloaded a mod called fishbone. Perhaps you already know it. It says there changes at the external display. I searched the bin and the tfs with Januka, but I couldn't find any differences. I don't want to flash my phone with this firm. Doesn't have langs I need. I only wants the external pics.
Give me a help...

If you did a automatic scan and you coudln't find the mods in the bin that mod is fake.

hi people, i have a e100a here, it's the same as the e100 but with chinese support. i would like to share it with you guys but i still have no idea how to backup my firmware. i have tried using most of the programs found here. can anyone help??
don, the last time you've advised me to use ust, but i have still not found a working version of the program.

You can use Dumper 1.8 to backup the .bin the only thing you will mis is the .tfs.
PS: You cant flash your E100A with E100 firmware or was it the other way arround
