I am in the same situation as you are.. I am using the E708 with the same firmware and would also like to flash the firmware with English as a default.. I have yet to buy a cable though.. I have looked around at the market and found that many retailers here in M'sia are selling "compatible" cables which I am not sure are 100% compatible.. Contemplating on getting an original cable from FMG.. Or if FMG is willing to flash AP phones, I don't mind paying them to do it for me..
Don.. would really appreciate if you could answer bloodhound's queries as I am also keen to know..

- Theres no firmware with japanese in it.
- Modify the ringtones with http://januka.altervista.org
- And you've got the wrong cable. Get the PCB133LBE.

- Download the firmwares on top those arn't down.

Do you know how much does the original FMG cable cost? The one that Don mentioned, PCB133LBE.
I can't seem to find any

I have an E700 with E700XBDC4 and i use an PCB133LBE Cable.
I'm trying to backup the firmware with Dumper 1.8. I did exactly like grtom45 said but when i push NOR Flash start i only get at message that say "LIB_PC : Default error number _ 0xfffffff9". When i press OK and it ask's me to turn on the phone i do, but nothing more happens.
What am i doing wrong?
BTW shall the charger be plugged in the datacabel (have tested both with and without) and should the battery be attatched?[/img]
