Yes, there are no any language elements in TFS.
You could do it.
But if you use a hexedited mod bin and another tfs, maybe you could have
wrong names in ringtones and other files in the phone...

I was planning to use TFS from E70BBDA2 (the only original, unmodded firmware i got on my pc..) The had been to get E70XBWJ7 but the files wheren avaliable from the server. So you recon that the wouldnt bee any problems using an TFS from an unmodded firmware?

I used many times different bin and tfs.
I had no problems.
I can't give you for sure a "go for it, no problem!"...
Just try it.
After all, flashing is allways a risk you cannot avoid...

Hey, i've just been playing around with a friends E700 (he asked me to load some mods for him) and noticed the firware version as PE700.05 E700JVDC1 ?
Is this a new or old version ? if old, whats the "best" version of firmware to use ?

Thanks icon_smile.gif

When i try to flash the NAND to the phone i stumble on a problem. When downloader 3.3 asks me to turn on the phone, i hold the power button in for a couple of second, but the phone turns on and i get "Time Out". What am i doing wrong?

I have flashed NOR a few times sucessefully without any problems using the same approach.

I use COM2, and when i trie COM1 i just get "LIB_PC : Default error number _ 0xfffffff9"

What is wrong?

With what (firmware) did you flashed your phone?

I simply tried what came with Optiflash 3.6.0.6 but it's only 55k in size while my save backup is 49mb. I recently got hold of e105_w2_FULL.SRE from some vietnamese web site, but flashing it leaves the phone in a state where it won't turn on. I can reflash with my backup, which puts me back to the "return for servicing" message.

Hi Don (or anyone else)!

I was wondering if you could help me out. I recently flashed my Samsung SGH-S300 with Optiflash 3.6 and the firmware S30XXWB1.

The flash went through okay, but when I put in my SIM card and turned on the phone, I was unable to receive or dial phone calls! I have no idea what's wrong because the LCD on my phone isn't working, and I was just wondering if it was because the IMEI changed, or if the phone locked itself...

And of course...how can I get the phone to work? My email is ryokia@yahoo.com...

I tried using Cerberos but it didn' t seem to work because I'm still having the same problem.
