I found a newer v208 firmware on 52samsung.com its called V208ZCDF8 http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic4919.html its listed.

I use a laptop which doesn't have a serial connection. Is it possible to upgrade my firmware on my D410 with a USB cable? If so, is there a specific model that I should get?

Yes you can do it with a usb cable. i guess the right usb cable is the D410 usb cable.

Don... i think i have just make a mistake flashing the rom. I backed up my firmware it is on sre extention, then i flashed the D418ZCDG5 to my phone, but after the optiflash program said to unplug the cable and i turn on the phone again after i take out the battery for 10 second, the screen is black. Then i flash it again with my backup firmware, but the situation still the same. The screen is still black. So can u tell guide me to make my phone working again? THanks

Thanks, i'm wondering whether i should upgrade my DE5 firmware.
and do you know why 8888 & 9999 doesnt work with my firmware?
I have to use 1234 instead.... which is not even in the help menu.
