Hi, i noob at cellphones, i saw some firmwares for my model
Samsung SGH-E700

are these from samsung? fix and stuff?

I bought a data cable for my Samsung e715. I want to update the firmware for my new phone, but I'm a bit confuse with the tutorial given in the first part.
My questions are:
1. What kind of data cable that we need? Mine is not an OEM I guess, I bought it from ebay, and it's a USB data cable, is that possible to use this?
2. How to set up my data cable with my PC?
3. What type of firmware that I might want to download and install on my phone? I also want to know the improvement features on the new firmware, is there any possibility where can I get that information for the firmware?
4. Do i Use optiflash? or do I need other software for it?

1. The cable you need is the PCB093LBE and its Serial but if you have the right USB cable it will work fine too.
2. Put it in a USB Hole.

You can find them here. If your in the US the E710 firmwares will only work if your using a provider that uses the 900MHz Band. The only thing I know about features is that the E710 has more.

Don't know where they are from. You can check your firmware with *#9999#.

What firmware is that KentX mod based on? Flashing goes with Downloader 3.3 Ans the cable you need is the PCB133LBE yes you can find it on ebay.

Hardware version??
It doesn't matter you can flash it to D410.
