The error > ERR_PROTOCOL means that there was a problem with the protocol on the serial link between the PC and the phone. Either OptiFlash received something unexpected, or the link is
defective.

This is happenening when you are trying to verify the backup you made of your V200 firmeware right?? Or are you trying to verify the upgrade that you are trying to flash to your phone?? Because that would make sense that you would get that error because Err_Verify_Difference basically implys the verify operation found a difference between the SRE file that you are verifying and the
contents of the flash memory in the phone.

are that the correct steps i have to do to flash my E700 with newer firmware ?
1. install Downloader 3.3
2.Start the program
3.fill in : Comport (com1) & Speed (115200)
4. Select mode {Bin&NAND(bin and TFS files) or Only Bin or Only NAND}
5.Which model i have to select()
6. Select the bin and TFS files
7.Put the data cable
8.turn off my fone (remove the battery or not ?)
9.Click the Start button
10.Watching the flashing process
11.After it is done , and the program says "all is well" i remove the cable and the battery for 10 sec and turn on my fone

Is all correct ?! I have to know becouse the fone is not mine , and i don`t want to damage it. Thanks a lot !

I have an E800 which I flashed once using SGH flasher/dumper 0.64.2 and everything went fine. Then I tried to reflash it with different firmware and it cut out about 2/3 of the way through. Now when I try to flash it, it simply times out ... every time! It does still recognise the phone though and allow me to dump from it - just not write anything to it.

Of course, now the phone doesn't work at all. I've tried everything and frankly, I'm beaten.

Any advice on how to recover this once sprightly handset would be sincerely appreciated!

Sounds can be editted by using Januka

You will need MOT2BIN + firmware backup + Januka.

Quick Tutorial

-Create binary file out of firmware with mot2bin
-open januka
-load binary firmware file
-locate tones to be editted
-edit tone
-save
-flash to phone.
