I have a Samsung x426 rev 1.7 with rogers in BC. I need to unlock my phone to open a new account (also with rogers)

I do not have another SIM card, so what method would I have to go through to unlock..?

I have a USB cable that goes on com 4 that I use for transferring ringtones/wallpapers etc, but I do not know if I can use it I keep hearing about serial unlocker cables..

Well, I got Cerberos unlocker 1.5 and set the port of my usb cable to 1, it claims it unlocked but I'm doubtful, I don't have another sim (from another company) to test.

http://www.schwantz-i.com Downloads/Samsung try SUS 1.0 first. If none of them work it might be the cable.

Hello Don,

Ive bought a serial cable for my e700 that you stick a battery on, and i downloaded the UK firmware that you mentioned for the uk half way through this Part 2 thread (good grief, it took hours to wade through it all!). Firmware E70XADA1

Im trying to flash my e700 as the cameras gone a bit nutty doing the white screen when you take pictures and freezing although when you press the camera when its closed you can see it works.

I followed the instructions using downloader 3.3 and the firmware but it does about 2 per cent and comes up with:

TFS Start Error 204(0xcc)

In the box at the bottom it reads:

Download Binary sector by sector
Download TFS sector by sector
Starting TFS OGM Downloading
Unknowack

Help an idiot out and tell me what im doing wrong please? icon_redface.gif

After reading here, i desided that i wanted to flash my e700 with a brandless version. SW version was E70BOWK2 (T-mobile) i reflashed it succesly with E70XADA1.

It was in my opinion quiet simple with downloader 3.3 and the PCEB133 cable.

Now i'm rid of the T-mobile software and i've got a real Samsung E700 icon_biggrin.gif
