For ASs (or Don)

My friend. I allreay know PSM5. I have done all of these. The problem is that, PSM cannot
play some of them (usually the very small or very large files). I tried several times, but it stops or plays them partial.
I suspect that some ringtones use 2 or more code numbers(files) for play in phone.
That's why i try to find, code number -> ringtone in phone.

I also know that the 10 first, are the SMS rings. I have changed them. I followed some instructions given to me. Never replace with larger file. Only same size or smaller. Do u know if it's possible to replace with larger file?

Thanks for the effort.
Waiting for suggestions...

I don't think there is a problem if you change with another one larger than the original one. The only problem will be a larger firmware witch can be... i don't know but it's sounds pretty serious. This is what I think of this, so try not to change with another one bigger and do the best you can do to keep it this way.

Now regarding the files you played with the PSMPlay and didn't hear anything, I had the same problem, only my problem was that i didn't heard a damn thing when played some of them or I heard some notes but not all of them and this is because my soundcard that doesn't suport more than a number of chanels (I don't know how many supports).

In conclusion I thing that if you wanna change some sound in the firmware, do so and try not to exceed too much the original file size cause the larger the file the longest the melody, right? and I don't thing you wanna be bored when getting a message and the phone keeps playng, and playng, and playng. Try to use cool and short tones (these are the coolest).
Don't mind the tones you are not hearing from the firmware, except if one of them is a one you want to change (but that's a little chance).

C ya and don't be affraid 2 ask.

ASs...

I forgot to tell you, I don't want long and boring ringtones for SMS.
I just make MMF from WAV. Very short (2-3 secs maximum) but the size
can reach 15kb.

That's why I asked for replace with bigger ones (not in secs, in kb).

Thanks again.

Well something's wrong, cause it's too much 15 kb for a 2-3 sec ringtone. Try to use another convertor from wav to midi and then to mmf with PSMPlay

Program to convert voice to mid???? I don't think that exists. There are several that can take a voice a make a music midi (synth) but not keeping the voice.

If you know any plz let me know.

Here is my problem: I bought a serial "flash" cable for R210E/S on a french internet shop; they assured me that this kind of cables work fine to update the phone; but...when I connect it to the phone (OFF) the phone begin charging the battery (it show the charging battery icon...) and i can't do nothing else...
Could you help me? What can I do?
Thanks!

You can try getting your money back cause when the cable starts acting like a charger you've got the wrong one.

When your serial cable acts like battery charger cable, that is wrong! I don't think that it will harm your phone, but it seems that it doesn't work with the phone. Simple words: you have the wrong cable...

ASs, I manage to find out some things about the tones.

10 first, are SMS tones, we already know that.
From that point, it starts getting a little confusing.
The short ones following (about 10) are standard events tones. I don't know them, I don't touch them.
Then I found 7 ringtones and 6 alert tones.
We can change them as we like.

There are 2 ringtones (that's for sure, they are ringtones), but when I try to change them, Januka doesn't allow me (runtime error, adress 5000) and exits to windows.

I think these are the complex tones I told you. 2 or more adresses for one tone in Phone.

If U want, I can tell you the codes..
