Don:
@grtom45
Do you have PSM 5.0? If you do drag and drop one of the mmf's on PSMPlayer 5.0.exe.

@Don
Nope! Doesn't work. PSMPlayer 5, shuts down by itself...
And for the ani files I used ACDSee6 and Animation Shop Pro. Same thing. Animation Shop shuts down, ACDSee doesn't recognize (black screen).

I forgot some minor details icon_smile.gif .
- Open the .mel with a HEX editor.
- Select the first 20bytes (HEX) aka 32bytes (DEC) than save it.
- After you've saved it rename it to .mmf to open it with PSM Player.

To add tones to the TFS you'll have to do the 3 things i said the other way arround.

I think you should use DIY or Janukas thing to replace the images.

Hi Don,...I tried to backup my E710 firmware with Optiflash 3.6.0.6 and followed the instructions that i have gathered from the forum........ but the problem is,.... i have this strange message in the log of Optiflash which says " Talking to Bootloader" which timed at 930 and i thought it was normal,.... and when i rechecked its progress again,... it is still at that state " Talking to Bootloder" which timed at 1230.

I reckon backing up the firmware takes only about 15 to 30mins right? Is there something that i have done wrong? please advise me on this.

thank you!

Does it looks like this:
Quote:
I E1 19:24:56 OptiFlash 3.6.0.6 started!
I E2 19:24:56 Preferences section [Samsung] selected!
I E3 19:25:09 ThreadGUI started
I E4 19:25:09 ThreadProtocol started
I E5 19:25:09 Boot loader protocol type: passive
I E6 19:25:09 Flash loader: C:\Documents and Settings\Don\Bureaublad\Opti3.6\Models\SGH-E710.sre
I E7 19:25:09 Opened COM1 at 115200 baud
I E8 19:25:09 PC transfer speeds (COM1): 57600 115200
I E9 19:25:09 Loading S-record file: <C:\Documents and Settings\Don\Bureaublad\Opti3.6\Models\SGH-E710.sre>, RangeCheck=Off
I E10 19:25:09 There is 1 memory region in the S-record file:
I E11 19:25:09 1: 0x00000000 - 0x00004a5b = 19036 Bytes
I E12 19:25:09 SendFile=C:\Documents and Settings\Don\Bureaublad\Opti3.6\Models\SGH-E710.sre, Mode=3
I E13 19:25:09 Hit On/Off Botton
I E14 19:25:09 TalkToBootloader (using COM1)
I E15 19:25:09 Talking to passive bootloader

Than it stays like that? If so try it with your cable switched to D/L.
