Just got my T300 unlocked here in the UK and am now using my Orange SIM in it.
I have tried various WAP & Email configurators from the sonyericsson.com website but none seem to work properly. e.g. when I try to enter the address for this site (www.mobiledia.com) I get the error "Your client is not allowed to access the requested object" but browsing to the Orange site is OK. I am currently using the "Orange GPRS Wap" profile
Also I have tried the Freeserve email configurator but only get "server not found" errors when I try to connect to it. We have an Exchange mail system at work so am not sure how to set access to that up from my phone.
Any help is very much appreciated.
madmaca.

WAP sites are sites specifically designed for phones and other simplistic mobile devices. its foolish to think u can type in www.yahoo.com and expect to view all of yahoos glory in a little 101x80 screen! think of wap sites like a floppy disk to a cd drive-it can hold the same material, but can't display/be used in the same format.
try searching (WAP SITES) on google or yahoo and they may list several for you. (i.e. yahoo's wap site is wap.oa.yahoo.com type <- on ur fone and it will direct u to yahoo's mobile only site-check personal txt only mail or weather etc. or wap.sonyericsson.com)
you usually know its wap if it contains wap. headings or .wmlendings. hope this helps you!

Hi,
I had a similar problem with my T310. I used SE's web site to configure my WAP account, i dont use GPRS coz i dont understand it. I can get on the internet fine now, but i cant access my POP accounts still!! Does anyone know how to do this?
PS, if you type yahoo.com into a wap phone, you will get yahoo's wap site, you dont need to use a special address

I had no problems with my WAP/GPRS config on my T310.
But I still havn't been able to check my email on the phone.
I guess I cant check my own hosted domain email (webyland.net)
I seems like I have to register a new mail adress at my providers website (netcom.no)

I had the same problem - it kept me frustrated for weeks! Then a rush of genius - if you edit your GRPS data account and put a DNS address in (for o2-UK it's 193.113.200.200) it works fine. I'm sending and receiving email on my T300 like there's no tomorrow.
I'm not sure where you'll find the DNS address for other providers, sorry, but it definately works on o2.

I only have WAP GSM, I cant get GPRS yet. Any ideas, or do you need a GPRS account to do this?

just had to register because i think i've found the answer to the email problem. On my phone anyway.
If you use any of the orange wap services (or gprs) you never seem to be able to find the server when you check email. Just go on sony ericssons website and go on the auto configurator too, set up a wap account with something like mViva. Works fine with me. I'm able to email myself all the photos on my phone now.

I got it working, but i can only recieve emails, not send them. Also, i thought i could send myself a theme, as i dont have a IR connector or data cable, but you cant see attachments on the phone!!
