Phone Model: LG VX3200
Service Provider: Verizon |

Hi. I just signed up with Verizon and got the LG VX3200. I like the phone, but there is no data cable listed for it. I'm interested in uploading ringtones, screens, etc, to it.
Will a data cable for the LG VX3100 work on this?
Any info on this phone and its inner workings would be a appreciated.
Thanks.

I also have this phone, and was disappointed to see it doesn't even have "get it now". Is this something that can be added to the phone later as some sort of hardware upgrade (preferrably for free)? Hopefully somebody knows how to add screens and tones to it.
Somebody help us!!!!
Otherwise it has been a good phone, I have had it for 1 1/2 months with no trouble.

You can receive text messaged ringtones through vtext.com for your LG 3200. I have the same phone and did it. However, I'd still like the data cable option for ring-tones that aren't on vtext.com.

How can phones these days not have a single game on them?? Is there any way to get games for it? If not, will it ever be possible??

I decided to email LG's customer service a day after I posted here about the data cable and here was the response I received yesterday:
| Quote: | Thank you for inquiring of LG Electronics. Your e-mail regarding the
VX3200 has
been received.
The data kit for your phone should be released within the next couple
of months.
Feel free to contact us in the future if you have any additional
questions or
concerns. Thank you again for contacting LG Electronics.

According to Datapilots website, datapilot.com, they have a new kit for the 3200 that includes the transfer software and data cable for 59.95. That is $20 more than I paid for two 3200's. Here is the link http://www.datapilot.com/shop2_lgvx3200.htm.[/url]

I got my VX3200 a couple nights ago and I'm also wondering about custom graphics and ringtones aside from the selection of poorly done files on vtext.com. I see you can draw your own graphic but why not be able to upload a custom 125x125 jpg or a good quality midi file? I'm worried that if I purchase the Datapilot kit, I still won't have customization.

Thanks, everyone, for the info. It looks like the VX3200 is one of those phones that get out the manufacturers door and then all the supporting hardware and software follows it *** eventually ***. I've seen that with other phones, now with this one.
By the way, there has been talk on the board about bad instruction manuals. The manual for the VX3200 is very good. I'm not sure if LG or Verizon should be applauded for it, but it is good.
I've also heard complaints about speakerphones. The speakerphone on the VX3200 is fine.
Just my two cents.

I work for Verizon Wireless and sell these phones regularly. However, even though I once owned one, I am not a big fan of it. This phone has replaced the 4400 which is now obsoleted. Don't ask my why ..... if you can find a retailer that still has some in stock I would recommend you upgrading to that. DO NOT get the LG camera phone as it is NOT a tri-mode phone. Meaning, if you leave a digital area and need to switch to analog it will not be capable of doing so. If you anyone has any questions regarding their service, phone, or anything related I would be happy to assist you.
