Hi, I cannot make a blue toth connection using PC Cuite v6.2. I am using a usb bluetooth dongle. The dongle software (ITV BlueSoleil) makea a connection, no probs. I can trabsfer files to the phone fine. But if I try connect with nokia pc suite it says connection failed.
I use Nokia Connection Manager which list 2 types of connections, IR and Serial. My bluetooth dongle software says I am connected on COM PORT 13 (mostly), when I tell the Connection Managers Serial configuration to use COM13, my phone says connection fails.
Any Ideas?
Has anybody managed to connect a Nokia 6230 (or similar) using PC Suit v6.2 via bluetooth?

The problem is, the PC Suite doesn't know your dongle... otherwise it would have listed a bluetooth-option in the connection manager.
Nokia Website:
| Quote: | Compatible Bluetooth Connection Stacks
- Digianswer Bluetooth Software Suite
- Microsoft Windows XP Bluetooth
- WIDCOMM Bluetooth for Windows version 1.4 |
Your software seems to be incompatible.

After searching a way to connect the Nokia PC Suite with a Cellink bluetooth adapter (BTA3120) I found the solution.
First you must use the Cellink software bluesoleil to connect the COM port to the phone (for example Nokia 6230). Right click on the port symbol and use the "connect" menu that will appear.
Then just use the Nokia connection manager to use the bluetooth port that you just connected before.
Hope it would help someone.

OBEX or Object Exchange is one of the protocols of Bluetooth. It is required to transfer files between two Bluetooth devices. It is included in your dongle's existing protocols.
Check your dongle's specifications to see if it has the OBEX profile installed.
btw, which bluetooth dongle do u have?
