hello..
i just upgrade my phone 6230 .my problem is.. i upload songs using dku2 to my hp on my mmc card (standard 30mb). it works fine but when i want to use music player, it didnt detect the songs in the card, only in the phone memory (as u know phone memory only 10mb, so can put 2 or 3 mp3 songs). i called voda care, they told me that i have to upgrade the card to 64 or higher, is it true? because i dont think it seems related to the how big is the card memory. (although i already ordered 128mb mmc card). i can play it through media player but whats the point of the option random and repeat in the music player. please help. tq

long as the songs are, like the other guys said, in the root not any folder they should play fine. That what voda have told you is non sense. I used my 32mb card strait away with no probs. Uploading the songs both using a DKU2 cable and a mem reader.

sorry guys... i just got it solved just now... what i did is, i just reformated the mmc card and upload all the songs again... and superbly working fine... its true that what the voda care told me is nonsense..(to upgrade the mmc card to higher mb). now i can list all my songs uploaded in my music player...
p/s will be receiving 128mb mmc card tomorrow... i think its enough to put 30 songs in there... or probably a bitmore...
thanks loads guys...

Did you at least try:
Menu>Media>Music player>Options>Track list>Options>Refresh all tracks
this should have just automatically located all the songs on your MMC (assuming they were in the default root MMC directory) and added them to the playlist. This would have saved you the hassle of formatting your MMC and downloading your mp3's back onto it again.

Hi,
in actual fact, the music player will only play songs in either internal phone default 'music files' directory or ROOT directory of yuor MMC card. in both cases I tried, you need to just go to track list, and reflash track list, you will see a list of songs in both MMC or internal phone. Reboot of phone is completely not necessory. Of course I early silly mistake of not able to tarnsfer music files to MMC was due to the fact that the MMC is without a name (thanks to someone provide that hint in this forum). you need to at least put a song in either default location before you can reflash track list, else an error of cannot find songs will appear ...
by the way, no one is stupid, you just cant master everything ...
