I recently purchased a V600 3 days ago...I love this phone....HOWEVER......I have noticed a dramatic decrease in volume in the earpiece compared to other phones I have used including my work phone which is a Nextel...I find myself struggling to hear conversations...it sometimes sounds muffled or not very loud....I have talked to other folks and let them listen...and they agree the decible level of this phone is softer even turned all the way up...Has anyone else noticed this???..Am I losing my mind???...it is frustrating...and I'm not sure if i'm going to keep this phone because of this problem...let me know your thoughts...thanks....Wise

Not had this problem. I have more than sufficient volume in both the handsets earpiece and the bluetooth.

No problems with my V600. I can hear it fine both using the speaker and a BT headset.

When I was looking for the phones, one of the most important things, was the sound quality I mean not only loudness, but good frequency. For example NOKIA, Sonyericsson, and samsung are loud, but terrible sharp and Thats the main reason I never had.But MOTOROLA v600 has really good sound:) my phone is loud, But not sharp:)

I have the same low volume problem with my V600. My provider is AT&T. Is it possible for the volume problem to be caused by the provider?

I have also noticed a low earpiece volume wih my v600 on the cingular network. However, if I use a bluetooth headset, I seem to have a much louder volume.
While using the earpiece, I turn my volume all the way up to 7, and yet, if there is a little wind or background noise, I can't hear the conversation.
I am already on my second phone and replacing the phone did not improve the volume. I hae called motorola and they say they have never heard of this problem.
Has anyone figured this out? Is this a problem with the cingular network?
There are two more problems I've notived on my v600:
(1) external display become jumbled: it is almost as if the the line on the external display were randomly re-ordered. The only way to fix is to turn phone off and back on again
(2) I've noticed that the phone has hung up several times even with a good connection. I don't know if this is a network or phone problem.
Please post if you've had similar problems or know how to fix any of the above three issues.[/quote]

As far as volume goes, I have the opposite problem. I've tried several wired headsets and the earpiece volume is fine. But the mic seems really muffled. I've spoken right into it and it's not clear.
I tried my headset on a friends v60 and the mic was loud and clear.
I've got a refurbon its way from ATT Wls support. We'll see...
I tried a bluetooth headset (Plantronics m3000) It sounded great, both mic and earpiece. It's main problem was it was very susceptible to the slightest wind noise. Car AC on low would make it sound like static to anyone on the other line. As soon as AC was off or vents closed it was clear again.
As far as the screen garble I got that once, two days ago.
Havn't had it hang up on me though.
