I am not sure if it will work. but there is no harm in trying icon_confused.gif

first start easy studio & specify the port as Irda. then close and open again. all these time dont activate the irda in ur phone.

after the software is loaded and running, now keep the phone in line of sight or Irda & activate IrDa in phone now. wait for a while and ckeck if it works. icon_biggrin.gif

I use "EasyStudio PIMS & File Manager" 1.0
everything works just fine. Just do a google for "EasyStudio PIMS & File Manager" and you should get what I get, and if that doesnt work, send Samsung an angry email or something

oh also I put my cellphone really close to the IrDa think, like, 2 cm away from teh IR outlet in my X600 (the thing on the rightside). Then I activate infra red and then I start the configured EasyStudio, and it works. In that program there´s a button for File Manager, but you should be able to find it right away, its not difficult.

could you pls let me know if anyone of you have downloaded ringtones, pictures to your samsung x600 via Infra red from pc. and also camera photos to pc via activating IR of phone and pc IR port. I am unable to do so for my x600 and d410 as before I've C100 and it was working fine with easy gprs even windows detects that samsung c100 is in range. what about x600 and d410 , at the moment i've x600 is any oter software required ? i've also tried my friend's nokia phones ant that some nokia models directly send and recieve rings and photos without software using win xp's ( " default sending windows appear " ).

Hello Friends,

I wanted a GPRS phone with value for money which Samsung X600 gave me. It has the maximum 9MB memory, 65K colours with 128 x 128 TFT, a camera with 640 x 480 resolution, GPRS Class 10, IrDA and Cable connectivity, Good reception and good battery backup.

But the bigest problem is its not Nokia, Unlike Nokia its not sturdy enough that it will be able to manage a 5 feet fall, has a external antenna and the most annoying is that the INRARED DOESN'T WORK. I tried using BAFO-120 IrDA and with a inbuilt IrDA of a Laptop but of no use, Both of them were able detect Nokia 6610 easily. IrDA only recives Buisness Card from Nokia. It doesn't accompany a Cable and CD so you have spend approx $15 extra on it and download a massive 60MB Samsung EasyStudio for using GPRS and transffering images on PC. EasyGPRS isn't compatible with X600. You have to use EasyStudio Internet Access to access Internet thru it, Uninstall / Remove / Disable any previous modem you have and install Samsung GPRS modem. If still unable to connect try dialing alternate numbers (*9***91# etc) provided by your Service provider. Do provide default Gateway, Port, Bearer (GPRS only) and APN.

I bought a Chineese made USB cable and its working fine after my 1 week long research on X600. The Samsung Service Centres here in Chandigarh (India) were not able to provide me any help. They say IrDA works but it doesn't. They say they have its cable but when you visit them again and again, its not arrived yet. I don't know when proffessionalism is going to come in India. My BAFO-120 IrDA is lying useless due to the wrong feedback given by Samsung before I bough X600.

Today I realise what makes a Nokia, a Nokia. I regret not buying Nokia 6610i or Nokia 6220 which has EDGE.

Hope this will help some readers.

Thanking you

With Warm Regards

Aoa,

Have you solved your problem, I've the same as you mentioned with my x600 and d410 phones, before i've c100 My pc win xp recognizes that samsung sgh c100 is in range before invoking samsungs handset maneger software. but not in case of my x600 and d410, here in mobile market the pro says it's not possible in d410 and x600 but I wrote to samsung and they said that it should work regardless of manufacturer of Ir device, as I told them I am using Edisonsoft ES620 and easy studio for it. i am also in search and will let you know in mean while if you found any solution using Ir pls let me know.

Many Thanks.

Regards

Hello.

I have the same problem with my X600 and my Irda of my portable w98-NEC, and but more strange , first to get with the one!EASY GPRS! it was connected, (the w98 goes through of the irda the X600), but it doesn't have enabled the Browser's option to transfer, for that that continuous another time with the Easy Studio, I have gotten a version 1.0.0.1 that at least it is connected, but later it is not able to be synchronized completely with the mobile

I believe that the versions of the Easy Studio is the problem, but no longer you for where to throw
