Hello, I think there should a way to silence the ring while its in your pocket, ie hitting the power button should silence it, or perhaps any button but talk or end if you do not have 'any key answer' enabled.
Is this already possible and I have overlooked it?
Thanks

Somebody calls you and you only want to silent the ringtone in that moment? Just press the right softbutton (which normaly says "Name" when nobody calls), then you've silenced this call.

The incoming call alert option has to be set to Ringing and not Off if you want to make the ringing silent. If you have selected the profile as Silent...then the right softkey will appear as Reject...not Silence.

If you have activated the silent mode, there will be no sound which should be silenced...

I know that I can do this while I am looking at the phone and hit the silent button.
I am just used to not looking at the phone with my v60 and I could hit one of the side button to silence the ring. I dont want to have to pull my phone out to look at it to find the silence and I wish there was an easier way to silence it without navigating the keys in my pocket to find the correct silence button.
Can one get such features into the interface or email Nokia about them?
Thanks

I suggest you play around of "feel" the phone in the dark. That way your fingers should be more familiar with the keypad...ehehehhehe...just a suggestion...

About the keypad.. Someone said that 6610 keypad has no bounderies, and because of that you cant make out the separate buttons as well as on any other phone.
I am going to buy 6100 or 6610 and the only thing I am not sure of is the keypad. andif I will be writing faster on 6610 or 6100.
