Hi
I have looked everywhere on the forum for the answer to this question but cant find it.
I have converted MPEG music videos using Nokia multimedia converter and have uploaded them onto my Nokia 6230 via Nokia Suite.
The video plays perfect but there is no sound whatsoever.
Can anybody help? Thanks in advance.

Are you using the latest version of the Convertor? If not download that and try.

Or else use some other convertor like SmartMovie/Helix Pro and transfer via IrDA/BT.

open your .mpg in the multimedia player, next goto File > Save As > .3gp
After the conversion, play the 3gp file in the multimedia player (before upload) and check for sound. If sound is not present, something is wrong with PC Suite or the Encoding capabilities of your sound card and processor. If you can hear sound in Nokia's Multimedia Player, upload to your phone and check there.
If there is no sound, try using the headset and see if you can hear anything. if you can, the loudspeaker is probably damaged, or if you can't, then your phone Firmware is probably corrupt. (unlikely)

I guess you are using WB-AMR (WB = wide band) instead of "normal" AMR audio codec for.
6230 can use AMR, but no WB-AMR.
