Hi,
I have a E700 connected to Easy Studio PIMS and file manager via a data cable, the phone is recognised but the 'melody to phone' and 'image to phone' icons are not lit up, i can put ring tones and images onto the phone using the 'file manager' icon however. Is this normal? I also would like to upload some animations, is this possible? I can get the image folder up but when i transfer one of the pictures from an amimation it converts if from a Bitmap to Jpeg! Any help would be appreciated

Ok, at least i know that it is normal, cheers!
What about animations? I could upload a series of pictures to make an animation on my T100, can this be done on a E700?
One last thing, is it possible to have ringtones that i have uploaded as caller group tones, i can only select from the default tones at the moment?
Thanks in advance, Ben

No it's not possible to set downloaded ring tones as group tones. This is the reply i got from one of my posts rgd the same topic :

It took me a while to work this out, but to get animations onto the E700 (and I assume other new Samsungs like the S500) you need to ensure that the animation is in .GIF format! I used Paint Shop Pro Animator to do this (I'm sure there must be freeware programs as well to do this). You simply create a .GIF animation containing your frames and then upload to the Images folder!
As soon as you click on a valid .GIF animation it'll will show in the preview window when using PIMS & File Manager.
Nice phone, shame about the software!
