i've heard of people using winimei to unlock it and other programs from other fourms like gsmhosting.

I badly need to upgrade my Samsung X-426 phone with 1.6 firmware. When I try using optiflash3.6, the flashing completes but phone doesn't come on. I see that the backed up flash is about 49.0 M.B whereas the new flash file in optflash for this phone is only 55 KB. So need the real flash file for this phone quickly.

I have the WinIMEI that you need to unlock, the Firmware rev 1.6 and optiflash with support for the x426.

You aren't using the correct file then. The flash file is 49MB, if it is coming up as 55kb, then it is corrupt. Make sure you are trying to flash the correct .sre file and as for the link, that is a link to my site http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/j/sjs342 if you are looking for the firmware or the programs to edit/flash it
