I just happen to be very lucky and got an AP set E715 (no that's not access point , that is slang for imported in Malaysia) with Vodaphone firmware. It can record video so I suppost it is flashed with the E710 firmware.
Now, I would really love to get ride of the USELESS vodaphone firmware. I got hold of the non-branded E710 firmware but have yet to flash. My question is, when I flash, will it change my IMEI of the phone? Even though this is imported set, the store still gives me 1 year warranty but the recorded the IMEI.
BTW, the phone is a T-mobile phone with Vodaphone firmware .
Please advise on this guys and gals.
regards,

Some firmware does change the IMEI of the phone. This happened to me when updating my phone. If this happens, contact me because I have software to fix it. I prefer not posting or uploading this software, though, as I do not recommend using it unless it is an emergency. I do however have a link to the site I got it from.

Does it matter what kind of wire i'm using? I'm using a samsung E715 OEM Serial cable. I can switch it to either data or cable. I flashed this phone with optiflash without any problems. Don't know if its from da wire da program or da phone. Some1 help me.
