ive got a 6230 and i cant even get to the phone browser using nokia PC suite 6.2 it says the operation could not be complete. but i can answer ur question.. i think. what picture is this ur talking about? if its a factory picture that came default with the phone it cant be deleted.. but if u took the picture with the camera... u might have a problem. if u stored it on ur multimedia memory card.. u may wanna check for copy protection locks in ur phone settings.

Hi
The only time i have had any problem deleting files is if i have been using them for op logos or wallpapers. Make sure this pic isn't selected as a wallpaper etc, re-boot the phone and try again.

Hi,
I have had the same problem and the only way to delete the file is to delete it via the computer. I use a card reader as I have not got round to sorting out the pc suite yet and the only way to do it was through the reader.....

I sent a gif file from my PC to the fone memory(folder: gallery/Graphics) using PC suite 5.8 and infra red connection. When trying to delete the error message, unable to delete occurs.
When trying to access the fone memory using nokia fone browers the message ( the operation could not be complete)
Is this the same problem as other are having.
Cheers

I was having this problem too... as were a lot of other people using the 6230. To access the phone browser properly you need to rename the MMC (MENU>Gallery>highlight your MMC icon and press Options>Rename mem. card) then switch your phone off, and back on again. Connect your phone to the USB Cable (or whatever method you use to connect your phone to you PC) and you will be able to access your phone browser properly. From here you should be able to delete/rename/move and of your files without then need to switch your phone off and on again. Works great for me.
