Hi..I have a T300 and a Infrared Serial Port lead..Windows won't pick up my T300 through Infrared..Suppliers of Lead said there is a IRDA driver I need so Windows 98 recognises my phone.
They also said it was on the software disc that came with the phone.what disc? I never got one.
I've been looking for 2 days without any luck..so could someone send a link where I could find such a driver? many thanx

Ok, I'm just going on a whim here, (just a whim) but did you neglect to "Activate IR" (Options, 3 or Desktop .
I once had the same problem (though i am win xp) then i foolishly realized that my fone needed to have its Infrared selected on, (default off as conservation of battery) so that stuff could be received/sent.
Hope I helped/made the least bit of sense to you!

Hello m8.
If you need ONLY to send files to your mobile, do the following:
Have a look down right, and you will see the IrDA icon, if it is communicating with your phone, then you are set. Just right click on the file you want to tranfer and send it to the phone. Then look at your phone, you will have to press "yes" to "accept" the file, as long as you have enough space on your phone, everything will be fine. The phone recognises the different types of files, and puts them in the corresponding folder. If they are images, they go to the pictures, or midi/ ring go to the music, and if game.. well they go to their place too.
Now if you need to read and send sms then you have to download a few extra software. Personally, my irda works on my old and ancient p166 m/b but NOT on my p3 m/b bios crappiness. Have you enabled irda in your bios? it usually is port 2, if you connect your irda dongle internally to the mother board, so change your bios setting to irda too now if you connect it extrnally then sorry, can't help
