Heya 
I just got a new E700 from Hong Kong, and originally thought that the overseas software would not allow me to use the GPRS functions here. And after a few long convosations with my Telco , I found out i would have to flash my firmware to and AUS version in order for it to work ....
Now 2 days later , iv picked up my phone and using the same config as before i can connect to GRPS and send PXT fine .... Now im really confused ... Does anyone know a code that can tell me my firmware , so I can post it and someone can tell me if my phone is using AUS firmware or not ?... Im confused now

Do you know what region or release of firmware that is ?
Im in AUS but the phone came from Hong Kong , yet now everything works fine in AUS. Im wondering why ? And if my software is AUS version .

Hey i just went to the Firmwares & Languages thread and saw that the E70JV... is for South Africa, Middle East, Nigeria and Morocco.

Really ? Ok now im really confused .. heh .. Anyidea what the DC1 would mean then ?..
There really isnt a point in me flashing my firmware then , unless newer firmware has advantages ? .

The firmware may have advantages and disadvantages based on version, but rearely on region. DC1 is the same version as I have, the English language American version. As far as whether to upgrade, try the forums of your carrier. I found a full comparison for my phone based on which software you had and I even found the firmware file there, too
