Ever heared of "calling the shop"?
They can give you informations if there is a newer firmware. In the internet are too much rumors...
If you don't have any trouble: don't upgrade.
(I lived with my 6210 2 years with an old firmware without any problems, my 6630 has a quite old firmware and I know there is a new one... but since I haven't discovered any problems...)
It's only recommend if you really have trouble with the phone.
Most people would buy a cheap flashing cable... which ain't that secure for upgrades. And good flasher-boxes are quite expensive.
Some (not all shops) also can tell what an upgrade could bring.
I personal wouldn't never upgrade myself... the risk is too high and my phones are too expensive that I would risk damaging them.
Repairs are too costly.

Except that 7710 is more than a phone !
Firmware upgrades can bring you many enhancements ! The 7710 is more like a PDA than a simple phone.
I agree that when you have a phone, if you can make and receive calls you can be happy and keep your current firmware without worring about updates. But 7710 is no more a phone. It's more like a computer which can be use as a phone ... So the software in it does a lot of things and new sofware can bring many new things ...

Ok. I gave up. I returned my Nokia 7710 to the shop today. It's definitely too slow ! You can't really use it ...

a) never ever post your IMEI anywhere
b) Email posts are discouraged. Instead, change your profile to "show email." This will protect your email address from spiders crawling the web looking to collect email accounts. Only registered users will be able view your email.

gforce can you help me

This is a forum, not a chat.
It is neither necessary nor polite to post "please help me" and stuff like that over and over again.
If you've got a question, please try the search function of the forum first or make a new topic if necessary.
Thanks!

Check the calendar, maybe there is something set wrong.
Also you should check if there is any program installed which starts the alarm (third hand alarm software maybe).
