Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a new trick that I've learned with the vx6000 series lg phone. I believe this hack only works the version 5 of the phone and not 6. The trick is as follows....
1) Record a voice memo and save it as a ringer.
2) Put your phone in manner mode.
3) Open your my media music folder and listen to a voice memo ringer in manner mode for a few seconds. (Just highlight the ringer to listen to it)
4) Press the end key once to go back to the main screen.
5) Now your phone is setup for speaker phone.
Activating/Disabling at anytime...
1) Call up your voicemail to try it out or a friend.
2) Once the call is placed the phone will not be in speaker phone mode. To enable speaker phone mode press any key on the number pad twice, or hold it down for one second and you should hear it on speaker!
3) To Disable while talking to someone on the phone press the volume down key once or twice on the side of the phone to lower the head piece speaker.
Thats IT!!
Its a great trick and works great. Only one con is associated with this trick and it is that the phone must be in manner mode the whole time, even when not in use to keep the speaker phone trick/setting in.
To go back into regular mode just go back into normal mode and listen to a regular ringer or just reset the phone and go back to normal mode.

I'm a newbie on this myself, but here is what I've been able to do on my VX6000 (software version T60LGV08) that lets me turn voice memos into ringtones:
Assuming you already have a voice memo recorded.
MENU-1-3
This is where you send a photo message. Address, just type a few random numbers. Then highlight [Sound], click "OK", select "Voice Memo", then "OK" again. Select the voice memo you want. Now scroll up to [Text] and then hit "SEND" followed by "END" (don't wait, or it may send something, you want to stop it before it has a chance to do anything).
You will now be give the option to "Save this message into outbox?". Select "Yes" and you will then go back to your main screen.
MENU-1-5
This will now take you to Photo Outbox and you will see the message you just saved. If there is more than 1 listed, no big deal. Select is by highlighting and clicking "OK". The press the "Options" button. You will now get a pop up menu and select "5 Save Sound". You will be given the option now to rename it if you wish. When you click "OK" is will save the file. Click "END"
MENU-7-2
This will take you to the "Music" folder where you will now find your voice memo as a rington. You can use your newly created "ringtone" to be assigned to a given caller.
As for the speaker phone mode.... I've tried both Manner Mode and Silence All mode, then MENU-7-2 and select the voice memo file and exit out, but no speaker phone. I guess software version 6 has fixed that "bug".
Hope this dragged out post helps someone.

Hey i got quick question. I got my lg vx6000 this past september. Does that make me version 6. Also if it is, is there anyway to do this with that version phone. I have been trying to save my voice memos on my phone as ringtone but the photo outbox method did not work for me. If anyone could help me or steer me in the right direction i would appreciate it. Thanks for your help
