At every attempt to send a text message, I get the message "Unable To Send - In Outbox to try later" (It's a Moto T720 phone). I've tried to several Cingular users, but same failure each time. I can receive messages without a problem, so I know the service is connected. But neither Cingular nor Motorola has a fix. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Russ

has anyone verified the message center number in the phone? go into your menu and select messages then hit the middle button right below the display and go down to inbox setup and select it. under service center number you should have a +1(areacode)(number). if this is missing try entering +13123149810. this number can be different depending on the region of the country you are in but this should work ok, if not try +14047259015... the message center number would be the first thing i would check, hope this helps...

That was it! The last number in the message center number -- a '0' -- was missing, and now everything works. Many thanks. Russ

On a related note, since Thursday night, my SMS text messages to email addresses are not going through, even though I am getting the "Message Sent" response. Cingular assures me their systems are up, and offered only a change to my service routing number. So far, still no go. MMS and email is still working.
Is anyone else having this trouble...sending SMS text messages to email addresses.
TIA!
