Hi all,
I just bought my P900 a few weeks ago in Hong Kong. It's a version with two languages, traditional chinese and english.
I put the language on english but the unit still has some chinese text in it. For example in the text entry screen I can still choose chinese input. For handwriting recognition I only have chinese, no english...
So, my question is, how can I make my unit a completely english or dutch one, and have dutchT9? I looked around a bit on the net but don't really find answers, and seems some more people have the same problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Already tried updating but apparently no updates availlable for my service provider, which is Proximus in Belgium.
Wanted to install dutch language too but this is not availlable for my organizer version...

Thanx in advance,
Tommy

Try updating to the latest standardized English language firmware through the SE online update service. However, I'm not too sure whether it will work.

Nope, I can't do any update through the update service, not allowed for my provider or some error message like that... I think it's a lost case, doesn't bother me too much though...

I used to have R3A07 firmware update on my phone with English/Latin font enabled. But after I managed to do an update to R5A09 the english is gone and i cannot do anything to get it back. I called SE and they told me to wait for firmware update or language pack for my Organizer version.
I have now
CXC162025 R5A09
CDA162003/11 R5A09
there must be a way to make it in english again since the previous update had english enabled.
Anyone familiar with this kind of situation?
It's frustrating can't work with my phone in Chinese:(

Hi there... I updated yesterday and had the same problem like you...
Luckily I have a chinese speaking friend. You just go in the control panel and change to english there... Better call SE and have them direct you there...

I'm new to this form. You mentioned that you got your p900 in hong kong! How much did you get the phone for, and what store you got it from if you remember? cause my parents are there right now and I told her to look for me.
Thanks
steve
