to kuzuryusen: i dont understand it either. why should I buy cell phone with the same functions for 60 dollars more. is it only for design - which is, i must confess, marvelous. at last ive bought 7210 and iam calm.

The lack of radio is not an issue since I drive everywhere and can listen to whatever radio station or CD i choose - all in much better quality.
If you can't justify the extra cash, get a 6610. I don't think you will be disappointed, it's a great phone. |
I hear ya!
Radio/no radio
Design - What do you like!?
It's that simple!

Don't you just love nokia and how they market their products? they make you want to buy all of their phones and half of the consumers would want more than one nokia phone. Phones that are exactly the same inside but has a different shell.

in my humble opinion, the 6100 is one of the greatest phones on the market. the 6610 seems to be a pretender to the throne. the incentive of a radio is more than offset by the size and weight factor.
the squeeking you heard about is even more prominent on the 6610 especially after changing x-press on covers a few times. and given the hideous range of standard covers on the 6610 you gona wanna change em believe me.
On the plus side the display resolution matches that of the 6100 and you can still download the same java apps as th 6100. another positive is the battery life which i would think would be longer than a 6100 considering the radio usage factor.
either way its your choice

In my opinion, the 6100 is an estetically beautiful phone contrary to the "square" design of the 6610 and that's worth paying for..... I don't know the price difference in "The US States", but here in Denmark, in US dollars, the Nokia 6100 is merely 34 dollars more expensive than 6610!
For the extra buck, you get a smaller and more smooth design at the cost of a crappy radio that drains the battery!
Second, the 6100 speakerphone feat. is far better than the one in 6610 and 7210!
And eventhough, if the 6100 had a radio, I wouldn't use it anyway, I always use my MP3 player...... my own great musik and very nice music quality!

In my view most of these posts are biased. 6610 user boast about the 6610. 6100 users boast about the 6100
so u should really ask someone who has experienced both
*cough*6610*cough*
