Hey Guys!
I actully work for tmobile in the wireless data group level 2 ... I've prolly spoken to a couple of you... for anyone that is having an issue with their service.. I can only imagine what your going through as I know at the level we are at.. there is only so much we can do and then we have to file our very helpful "Trouble Ticket".. ( yeah very helpful)... to anyone that has charges appear that they did not incure from their own use I can only suggest one thing and that is a "ABR Form"... ask then to file that... if you have had one filed and still ask you to pay..'Ouch" at this point working at tmobile myself I wouldn't even know what to tell you... the company has some messed up polocies that I don't even agree with more less hate my job.. but if you have any billing issues... ask for an "ABR Form" and if you have any tech issues ask for a 'Trouble Ticket" and when asked for an alternative phone do supply one as most of the time beacuse of crappy service you are gonna miss the call from the 'Off-line Group" that calls to inquire about your issue.. hope this information helps...

I have been reading the posts and I am having the same problems as the rest of you. I see that some of you have mentioned writing the CEO and the corporate office. Does anyone have a contact name and address where they wrote? Thanks for giving the FCC Idea. I had not thought of that and I will do that ASAP. I cannot believe that there is no one that you can speak to and void a contract. I actually had a CSR offer me one solution and when I called back another CSR reneged that offer stating that the CSR I spoke to previously did not have the authority to make such an offer. Like the rest of you they have now drawn this out so that I have to fulfill a contract. I almost want to pay the $200 just so I don't have to speak with them anymore!

Not to stop the flaming, but for what it is worth, I have never had any issues with T-Mobile. I did have a billing discrepancy the first month which was credited immediately and a permanent 100 minute/month anytime bonus was put on my account - that was 3 years ago. Their coverage was poor initially but has improved 500%.
My girlfriend joined AT&T and the first month got hit with roaming charges on a nationwide GSM plan even though the phone said "AT&T". When we called AT&T customer service, they told me that it is possible to be in roaming area even if the phone says AT&T. At 11 months and 30 days, we switched her to T-Mobile.
I travel 80,000 miles/year in my car and although I cross carriers all the time, my bill has never even been $1 over my plan + tax and 411.
With respect to T-Zones, mine didn't work either, and what I found out is that it is because my corporate BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) policy restricts it, so it has NOTHING to do with T-Mobile, it is your company that sets the security policies and firewall policies on your device. I filed a complaint with my IS department and they opened the "Blackberry Browser" so I can get to T-Zones and everything else, but through a separate application on my device which is controlled by my company. I am not saying that is the problem you all are having, but if your company uses the BES it is something to look into.
Comments welcome...

From what I've seen, T-mobile (in the US) uses the 1.9GHz band. However, I recently purchased a Nokia 6620 (instead of the 6600) so I could use the services provided on 850MHz. T-mobile now roams to Cellone Dobson, which greatly increases the coverage in Nowhere, Minnesota for me.
As for the specific frequencies, you might find some stuff up on the FCC's website. I've seen Nextel's frequencies listed before, but I don't know that I've seen other carriers. I'd check for you, but my frequency counter stopps at 1.2GHz.

id idnt take the time to read all the posts, but i do have one recommendation... if you are having a problem the FIRST DAY, take it back to where you bought it... if it is a corporate store there is a 30 day IN STORE exchange policy... use it

First, that is what a contract is... So why would they have it if they didn't follow it?
Second... Did you by chance read the contract before you signed it?
I have T-Mobile so I pulled out my contract and found a few items that seem to apply to your situation
"We are not liable for any Service limits, failures or outages.
EXCEPT FOR ANY WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTY THAT MAY BE PROVIDED, ALL SERVICES, UNITS AND OTHER SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS" BASIS, AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED."
That whole part is actually in bold caps so it stands out and perhaps you would read that. Surely you don't just sign any contract someone puts in front of you without understanding what it is?

I had been with T-mobile for one year my contract was ending and i wanted to go to a diffrent company for a phone i liked so i called up T-mobile cancelations and they offerd me a deal.the deal was we will give you a phone below half price.i sad ok and was stoked.i went ahead and orderd the v600 for 100 dollors new.went online and was very unhappy with that phone reviews.i called them back up and canclled the v600 for the nokia6600.lets put it this way after receaving that phone it went down hill yet it had it,s happy ending .i was shiped 6 diffrent phones from T-mobile.they paid for all 3 day shipping and handel and finally got me a phone i liked and that worked on top of that they gave me a 300 credit to my accout.I found in buying a cell phone always has it,s catch.ive been with nextel, sprint, suncome and altell.the T-mpbile company took care of me there were no threats that came from my mouth to them they just made it right and i thank them for that.If you talk to a manger and explain what is going on to T-mobile they will make it right at the end.ive been through the ringer with cell phone companys in the past and T-mobile steped up and took care of me and for that im a T-mobile lifer
