I have a 7250i and I keep trying to use infrared to send and recieve stuff from other phones but it keeps saying "sending has failed" apparently the reason it doesnt work is because infrared doesnt work on 7250i's? Could anyone share some light on this matter, your help would be much appreciated!

It just doesn't work because Nokia disallowed sending & receiving stuff via IrDa from other phones (except contacts).
Afaik there are only 3 "normal" phones (without Symbian OS) who can do it: 6220, 6230 and a third one which I can't remember at the moment.

the 3200 is also another phone capable of receiving some stuff via IR. i've tried it already.

All new S40 phones released after 3200 have fully functional IR.
