I have been told that the P910 should be available in most countries by mid October. Shipping starts in a few weeks.

Personally I think that the P900 is more stylish and the keypad certainly looks better on the old P900. It seems like Sony Ericsson have only gone for subtle differences this time.

Have you tested the BlackBerry connect software? Can you post some screen shots of this? This one feature is the biggest reason I am looking to get one of these.

Has anyone used the P910 phone with a current 5 or 6 series BMW?
There have been a few posts about use of the SonyEricsson P910 phone with BMW 3 series Bluetooth car kits, with modest success (http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e63/5907970-1.html). Knowing that the 5 and 6 series share the same platform and are significantly different that the 3 series platform, I'd appreciate any relevant experience to share with other owners. I have a P900 that does NOT work with my Bluetooth-capable BMW 645Ci, since the P900 (and P800) lacks the BT handsfree profile. The P910 has the required handsfree profile (Symbian OS upgrade), but that does not guarantee complete functionality:
a) ability to make/receive calls
b) phone book automatically synches to car
c) dial by name (without verbal training of system)
c) calling name display (using adddress book)
d) ability to send/receive SMS
Can anyone verify compatibility? I'd like to verify functionality before I pay for a new handset.
many thanks,
Robert
